Rapolitics offers a wide range of rap workshops, talks and performances that address contemporary challenges. Our social science-based rap workshops are designed for upper primary school, highschools, youth education programs, and youth clubs, tackling global issues from a young person’s perspective. In addition to rap workshops, we provide a diverse selection of talks and performances tailored to other institutions and events, including conferences, seminars, festivals and more.
Rapolitics’ experienced rap coaches deliver fun and engaging rap workshops with an academic focus. Each workshop is led by two rap coaches, lasts five hours, and includes both theoretical insights and practical exercises. Participants engage in discussions and reflections on the workshop’s theme before being introduced to rhythm, rhyme and rhetorics. They then receive the tools to write and perform their own Rap, based on the theme. By creating their own rap lyrics, participants express their thoughts and opinions in a creative and playful way, culminating in a final performance for their peers. Our rap coaches guide them through the entire process, ensuring both a fun and educational experience. We believe that success in the classroom translates to success in other areas of life.
Our workshops align with subjects such as Danish, English, History, Social Science and Music and are available in both Danish and English.
For 15 years, Rapolitics has successfully engaged a diverse range of young people— from top-performing students to those who are less engaged or even academically challenged. The Rap element encourages participants to dive into the content, making it particularly impactful for at-risk youth. They gain confidence, recognize the value of their own voice, and develop a stronger belief in themselves, which enhances their ability to absorb new knowledge and participate actively in society.
