[.white] How can improvisation be used to improve communicative and performative skills? [.white]

[.white] The Freestyle-Rap workshop works with association and improvisation based on rap. The class presents a series of exercises that strengthen participants' associative skills, creative thinking and courage to speak in front of assemblies. The workshop has been developed in collaboration with Rapolitics' freestyle rap coaches, several of whom have a degree in rhetoric from the University of Copenhagen and have won gold medals at the DM in Freestyle Rap. [.white] The purpose of the workshop is to teach participants how to speak. Daring to speak out is an essential quality as a citizen in a democratic society, yet many fear to speak out, whether it is in the classroom, in a meeting with new people or something else entirely: What if what is said is not perfect and what will others think of you? Through exercises and games, the participants in the workshop will find themselves in situations where they are encouraged to express themselves. Central to the workshop is that it's okay to fail -- it's actually expected. [.white]
