[.white]Re:Act serves as an experimental platform, bringing together young Danish and international rap artists to explore music's potential in promoting human rights. Through hip hop performances, discussions, and interactive workshops, we aim to highlight artists’ human rights struggles in a way that moves, inspires, and motivates audiences to engage with these issues.[.white]

[.white]In 2024, the Re:Act Stage returned, hosting 37 artists and activists who tackled human rights issues through dance, rap, poetry, freestyle battles, debates, and creative workshops. Key participants included:[.white]
[.white]Khaled Harara[.white] [.white](Palestinian refugee and rapper) – sharing his story of conflict with both Hamas and Israeli forces.[.white] [.white]Mino Danmark[.white] [.white]raising awareness about minority rights and challenges. Freestyle rappers from[.white] [.white]OnTheSpot[.white] [.white]and Debattle engaging audiences by improvising rap battles based on festival-goers’ experiences and themes.[.white] [.white]Peimi[.white] [.white]returning with a memorable lyric talk featuring underground rap icon[.white] [.white]Amro[.white][.white].[.white]
[.white]Festival-goers at the Re:Act Stage witnessed a dynamic mix of rap performances, panel discussions, workshops, and debates featuring 18 different acts, each advocating for human rights. Highlights included: [.white][.white]Krantinaari[.white] [.white](India) – rapping against patriarchy and advocating for gender equality. [.white][.white]David D Omni[.white] [.white](Cuba) – using hip hop to fight censorship and push for freedom of speech. Peimi (YouTuber) – analyzing iconic hip hop verses, breaking them down into meaningful discussions on lyrics and social justice.[.white]
[.white]Roskilde Festival presents a unique opportunity for social change, as young attendees are naturally in an exploratory mindset. The festival's setting allows for an open exchange of ideas and shifts conventional social norms, creating an ideal environment for activism and creative engagement.
