RAPFÆRDIGHED

The Rapfærdighed podcast, created in collaboration with Danish Institue for Human Rights and Roskilde Festival, features Manus Bell as the host and Mads Lemmike as co-host. Every Wednesday in spring 2024, they engaged in conversations with Danish rappers who had something meaningful to share. Each episode explores rap, rights, and justice, inspired by a song brought by the guest artist.

Among the featured episodes:

● Ataf, who, through his song Blok Politik, discusses the political climate for brown Danes in the late 2000s following 9/11 and the Muhammad cartoon crisis.

● NØX, who shares her frustration over always being labeled a "female rapper" rather than simply a rapper, based on her song Mærker.

Every conversation is deeply rooted in the guest’s artistic identity, their passion for activism, empowerment, and, of course, lyrical excellence.

The podcast is supported by Tuborgfondet and Open-Puljen.
